Welcome to Manly Ultimate!

This is the official site for all the information you need to know about Ultimate Frisbee on the Northern Beaches. We play Ultimate all year round, on the beach and on the grass. We have a women's and a men's club team that compete at the National level and we even have some Australian representatives among us. But mostly, Manly Ultimate is about having fun, meeting people and getting fit playing a great sport.

Summer Fling Tournament

The Summer Fling tournament run by Dave Hayes was a huge success! Thanks Dave for all your hard work organising the day that ran smoothly. The Hills District team "Sugar Daddies" took home the cool new trophy (crafted by Matt Oswald)after beating We Are Manly in the finals. The semis saw the two Manly teams facing each other for one spot which was great to see. Thanks to all the Manly players who made it down to Nolan's Reserve. Hopefully next year we will have even more developing players attending.

Summer League II

Manly Summer League has finished for the season. It has been a great season with 10 teams in Div 2 and 6 and Div 1. The finals were on 26 Thursday. Div 2 finalists were The Hoff and Discosis. The Hoff proved to be the stronger team but Discosis gave them a good fight. Div 1 finalists were The Hoff and Teething. It was a close match throughout the match but due to many great long passes to some fast and furious receivers, The Hoff took out the title. Well done to The Hoff who won both divisions and looked great doing it with fantastic uniforms! Thanks to everyone for the support!

Also, a reminder to all players, you are invited to come to the end of year party at the Charlie Bar this Friday 27 March. Charlie Bar, Manly starts at 6 pm and there will be a bar tab and finger foods provided. Come and have a laugh with your teammates.

Beach Ultimate

Beach Ultimate is playing during the summer months at Queenscliff beach every Sunday afternoon. It is open to anyone to come and have a go. It usually start about 3 or 4 pm and finishes off with a swim.

Winter pickup

Winter pick up starts 9 April 2009

Every Thursday in the winter, we play a pick up game at Balgowlah Oval off Sydney Rd. (across from Bally Boys High) starting at 7 pm. Contact development@ufnsw.com.au for more details.

Northern Beeaatches - Manly Women's Ultimate

Manly Womens club (Northern Beeaatches) is about to finish its season. Last Weds training is 25 March and our last tournament is Into The Wild 28/29 March. It will be tough competition but with a mix of experience and new talent, I am sure we will be competitive with the rest of Australia.

Manly women's Ultimate has been around since 2002 and has their share of success. Semi-finalists every year they have competed at Nationals, Northern Beeaatches is always the dark horse of competitive Women's Ultimate. This year we are hoping to add some fresh faces to the roster and work on developing our beginner and intermediate players. If you are keen to play Ultimate and live on the Northern Beaches or in the area, contact us. We are a fun club to play with. We have a mixed of experience from World representative to high school players. We are all about having a laugh while getting fit.

Manly Mens Ultimate

BRICK is the mens frisbee club. This year BRICK will not be attending Nationals but did very well at Regionals came 5th coming closely behind the top teams in NSW. They have had much success over the years and plan to continue next Nationals campaign.
