The Darlinghurst Ultimate Frisbee Federation (DUFF) is pleased to bring you DUFF League!

If you work or live in the City or Eastern Suburbs, and are looking for a bit of Frisbee action without it taking over a whole night of the week, DUFF League is for you!!!

No lights!

We’re playing Monday evenings during daylight savings. 6pm-7:30pm. 100% solar energy!

• If you’re a workaholic, tear yourself away from your desk at 5:30pm – you’ll be glad you did.
• If you are a busy social butterfly, meet up with your friends at 8pm, slightly flushed.
• If you are addicted to Home & Away, record it and watch it when you get home.

Easy to get to

We’re at Moore Park West, just north of Sydney High School.

5 minutes by bus from the city (Anzac Pde) or central railway station (Cleveland St), or a 20 minute walk from the city. Too many bus routes to name!

These fields are huge and in pretty good condition. We’re hoping for about 8 teams, but there’s room for 16 or more!

Beginner friendly

There will be a bunch of experienced players (Nationals, Worlds level) out there, they’ll be there to coach the eager new talent and inject a bit of spectacular play.

We’re planning on recruiting many new players, so get excited about the prospect of introducing people to the sport. If the first league up to Christmas is successful, we will think about splitting into two divisions in the New Year, but that will rely on solid recruiting right now.

Every beginner will get a brand new disc so they can take it down to Bondi Beach and practise all weekend.

Our first week of league (26 October) will be a “come and try it” event, with experienced coaches teaching the basics of the game to beginners, but with also other levels of coaching for the more experienced players. Everyone will learn something!

Social

Each week after league we’ll retire to a local pub and/or restaurant in trendy Darlinghurst or Surry Hills for some refreshments and/or dinner. A great way to cement friendships with those people you just met on the field.

We’ll also have a rocking end-of-season party and a BBQ during the finals.

Start talking to your friends at work, or your school or uni friends, or bring it up as an ice breaker at a party this weekend. We want every team to include a good swag of beginners, but also 2 or 3 experienced players to lead the team and keep teaching throughout the league.
